The trucking school now works with unemployment offices that fund the
training for individuals to get their
commercial License. The school’s
training and job placement assistance program guarantee the success
of itsgraduates in the transportation industry,
The school is accredited
and affiliated with the Bureau of Post Secondary Education, I-train,
Workforce investment act, VA Department, the department of rehabilitation,
and the South Bay Workforce Investment Board. Our training facility, vehicles

Facilities and Equipment:

Current facilities for the school include offices, classrooms, and yard sites. Trucks and trailers include Volvos and
International Tractors. Ages range from 1992 – 2000.All tractors are three and two axle with wheelbases ranging
from 220’’ to 228’’ trailer sizes range from 28’ to 53’.

 

Training Facilities:

 The classrooms have a maximum capacity of 15 persons each. The building is air conditioned and has ample parking
close to the school. The classroom is well equipped with T.V. and D.V.D player, good lighting and comfortable seating.

 

Class “A” – Truck Driving

Goals and Objectives:

The class course objective for Dolphin Trucking School is to prepare students for a successful career as a professional truck driver in either a local or over the road setting.
Training includes the DMV competencies required for a Class “A” Commercial license and endorsements. Job placement assistance is available for graduates to take advantage of.
Successful graduates receive a diploma and their transcripts remain available for potential employers to review.

 

 

Curriculum – Class “B” Commercial – 120 hour course

 Goals and objectives

Dolphin Trucking School’s course objective is to prepare students for a successful career as a professional driver in either a local or over the road setting.
Training includes the DMU competencies required for a class C commercial license and the passenger endorsement. Job Placement assistance is also available.
Successful graduates will be trained to entry level competence in order to enter the job market in the shortest possible time frame.
